Stanford Hospital Surgical Pathology Lab Renovation

Stanford Hospital Surgical Pathology Lab Renovation

The $ 5.8 million, 7,300 sq.ft., OSHPD 1, multi-phased surgical pathology laboratory renovation includes the relocation of the existing lab to a new location to accommodate 13 new modern backdraft grossing stations and other space functions, such as slide viewing, tissue storage, new administrative offices, staff break room, and a new ergonomic accessioning lab to improve work flow.  Work includes new air handling units, new power distribution, lab utilities, and temporary MEP utility provisions to maintain facility operation during construction.  Extensive field survey for existing condition verifications was conducted to identify all affected services within and outside the project area to minimize facility disruption.
