Gayner Engineers developed the Design-Build bridging document for the $6 million NSF funded infrastructure retrofit project for the 150,000 sq.ft. semiconductor research lab, which consisted of a 12,000 sq.ft. Class 100 and Class 1000 nanofabrication facility.   The scope includes the complete replacement of the existing toxic gas monitoring and alarm system, toxic gas distribution piping system, gas cabinet and  valve manifold box installation, an abatement burn box installation, solvent exhaust system upgrade, clean room HEPA filter replacement, humidification system upgrade, electrical power distribution system upgrade, process cooling water system upgrade, and the construction of a Nanosynethesis lab.

An extensive survey was conducted for existing equipment to identify TGO sensor types and locations.  Multiple alternate adds were developed as part of the bid document to assist the budget control process.  Gayner Engineers also implemented a number of energy conservation measures for the building systems as a subsequent energy retrofit project funded by the University.
