San Francisco General Hospital Service Building Upgrade

The Central Plant Upgrade scope consists of removing two existing steam turbine driven generators, installation of a 12 MW diesel emergency generator system, 12kv switchgear, fuel oil system upgrade, installation of two new high pressure (250 psi rated) steam boilers, derating of two 100,000 pph high pressure industrial steam boilers, chilled water system expansion, and control system upgrade.  A set of complex construction documents was developed based on multiple construction sequences as an effort to minimize shutdown and facility disruption.
